Robert is Chief Executive Officer of CFR, Inc.  He also serves on the board of the CFR Education Foundation.

Before joining CFR in 1990, he was senior counsel for Frates Enterprises, a major regional real estate and investments firm headquartered in Tulsa.  He also holds a Property/Casualty insurance license in the state of Oklahoma.

In addition to his responsibilities at CFR, Robert serves on numerous civic boards and committees.  He has served as Chairman of the Board of the American Heart Association and co-chaired the 2005 Citizens for Tulsa Bond Campaign.  He has served as Chairman of the Tulsa Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization.  Robert was also an elected member of the City Council of Tulsa from 1994-1998. Like many at CFR, he is committed to public education in the Tulsa community and has served on the Mayo Demonstration School Foundation since 2001. Robert and his wife, Judith Blackwell, a Tulsa physician, have 2 children.
