“One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like. But one hundred years from now, the world may be a little better because I was important in the life of a child.” - Dr. Forest E. Witcraft.
CFR and Sequoyah Elementary School have been Partners in Education for over fifteen years. Once known as “Adopt-A-School” , this program partners businesses with schools in need to help the school meet not only educational goals, but attendance goals and help the school with items that are outside their budget.

CFR donates funds and time for their employees to volunteer as reading mentors to individual students at the school. CFR has provided food for the back to school breakfast for teachers, supported the attendence ice cream parties, and has set the goal of providing a book for each child to take home at the end of the school year.
Each year CFR donates all proceeds raised at the annual Golf Tournament to Seyoyah. In the past, this money has been used to further the education of both students and teachers, provide new playground equipment, purchase a new flag pole and provide supplies that are needed for the teachers and students, and more.
Here at CFR we have incorporated helping Sequoyah School into every work day by collecting soup labels, Box Tops, toner cartridges, book drives and just volunteering time to help where ever we are needed.
We are proud to be helping make a difference! In the last ten years, Sequoyah has not only increased its district educational test scores, it has also increased its state scores as well. The attendance has risen, and the children are happy to be there each and every day.
CFR believes that education is important to all children and that each child is entitlted to the opportunity of a good education.
