"The TBH is an organization that helps young men realize their potential through discipline, leadership, and direction. We volunteer with the TBH, participate in sporting activities with the boys, and give philanthropy support through the agency. We see them grow, develop, and learn that they can depend on people through these activities. It is important to give back to the community, and there's no better way than to help young men who may not otherwise receive a positive role model in their life back home." - John Wingeter, CFR

A favorite holiday tradition at CFR is the staff's gift to management - holiday gifts for the boys at TBH. Each year the staff at CFR donates money to be used to buy toys, toiletries, games, clothing, housewares, etc. on behalf of our management team. CFR's Tanner Cooper recounts the most recent adventure of gift buying for Tulsa Boys Home:
"Once again, we at CFR have made an enormous impact on the young men housed at the Tulsa Boys Home. Yesterday John, PJ and I went shopping (at Academy and Wal-Mart) and then delivered the gifts to the campus. The staff has decided to wait until Christmas to show the boys....so we didn't get to see their reactions this time, but we did sit down and talk with Mike Murphy who is the Program Director for TBH."
"Mike wanted us to relay their appreciation to everyone here at CFR, and help explain how CFR is playing a huge part in helping these boys understand that society isn't all bad. He told us stories about how many of the boys have never received a gift during their lifetime. He said that the birthday cake we supply every month along with the Blockbuster gift cards has become something that the boys look forward to every month. He then explained that at the first of December the boys begin to eagerly anticipate the gift/s from CFR. While TBH has many supporters throughout the Tulsa community, Mike explained that CFR does more "for the boys" than any other organization and/or individual. Most of the contributions that come to the Tulsa Boys Home are in the form of checks and cash, and therefore have no personal significance to the boys. He went on to explain that while those types of contributions are very, very important; what we do stands apart because it allows many of these boys to learn that there are people out there (whether they know them or not) that care."
"Below is the list of what each and everyone of us gave to the boys this year:
8 footballs (various types)
2 kites
2 soccer balls
2 sets of billiard balls
1 ultimate frisbee
4 pool cues
72 pairs of tube socks
3 baseball gloves
4 basketballs
2 flag football sets
5 ping-pong paddles
30 ping-pong balls
6 baseballs
48 tennis balls
2 baseball bats
1 "mammoth tennis ball"
5 tennis rackets
3 basketball nets
12 deodorants (cleaned out Wal-Mart of speed stick)
44 toothbrushes (wal-mart is now out of "double pack" toothbrushes)
18 standard pillows
16 toothpastes
41 washcloths (Wal-Mart has no white washcloths left)
10 standard pillowcases (wal-mart has no blue pillowcases left)
22 bath towels (wal-mart has no white towels left)
8 twin sheet sets (no blue twin sheet sets left either)"
"The Boys Home said that they are in need of new blankets.....but someone got to Wal-Mart before us and bought them all. So with the $310 we had left after buying all of this we purchased a gift card to Wal-Mart earmarked for blankets."
"So congrats to everyone here on a job well done!"
