Dick joined CFR in 1986 after working in both the insurance and utility industries. He specializes in commercial coverages for large corporations.
After graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 1969 and serving in the U.S. Army from 1969-1971, Dick joined Public Service Company of Oklahoma and worked for seven years in a number of positions including Manager of Insurance and Claims. While he worked at PSO, he also earned his MBA from the University of Tulsa in 1974.
From 1978 to 1986, he was with the firm of Marsh & McLennan in Tulsa. He was responsible for handling commercial insurance programs for a wide range of businesses, and he served as a risk management consultant to The City of Tulsa and the Grand River Dam Authority. As a consultant, he was responsible for the analysis of risks, insurance specifications, analysis of quotations, and recommendations for owner-controlled and self-insurance programs.
Dick has been active in several civic, environmental, youth sports, and church organizations. He is past president of the Tulsa Audubon Society, the Notre Dame Club of Tulsa and the Swan Lake Waterfowl Society. He played a key role in the establishment of the Mary K. Oxley Nature Center in Mohawk Park. He has also been a board member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Greater Tulsa and an officer of the Oklahoma Society of Insurance Managers.
